CLINICAL NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST: The Department of Neurology at Columbia University Medical Center has an immediate opening for a part-time (60%) clinician. With potential for a full-time appointment in the future, this position is based in the Levine Cerebral Localization Laboratory in the Stroke Division.  Responsibilities include neuropsychological evaluations with both in- and out-patient adults, as well as supervision of graduate students and doctoral fellows.  The Neuropsychologist will provide consultation to the stroke and critical care, neurosurgical, transplantation, rehabilitation, and general medical services.  This clinical appointment will be in Neurology at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons.

 

Qualifications Include:

1.     A doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Neuropsychology (or equivalent degree) from an APA-accredited program

2.     Pre-doctoral internship training at an APA-accredited program

3.     NY state licensed or license eligible

4.     Eligibility for board certification meeting ABPP Neuropsychology requirements (including minimum of a 1 year postdoctoral fellowship)

5.     3 to 5 years post fellowship experience in clinical Neuropsychology in acute medical settings involving inpatients and outpatients.  Rehabilitation experience is a plus.

6.     Experience in supervision and consultation. 

 

The Levine Cerebral Localization Laboratory (CLL) is a part of the Neurological Institute’s Tananbaum Stroke Center.  Founded in 1994, the CLL is the only clinical research laboratory in the country dedicated to the investigation of the behavioral outcomes of stroke and related cerebrovascular conditions.  We offer a competitive salary and benefit package including retirement plan.
